Saturn

 Saturn "Rings Around the Planet"

Briefing – Most people think of Saturn as a ringed planet, but it has so much more to offer as an interesting planet.  For one thing, Saturn is the second largest planet in the Solar System and its interior is composed of a core of iron, nickel and rock (silicon and oxygen compounds), surrounded by a deep layer of metallic hydrogen.

Mission – You will build a five page mini- presentation on the planet Saturn, which will focus on one aspect of the planet Saturn. You will pick an aspect of Saturn that interests you and you will investigate and create a presentation on a feature of the planet Saturn.

Tools – You will use the Internet and selected websites to conduct your research, and then gather information for your presentation.  You will then take that information and create a five slide presentation on what you learned about Saturn, based on the subject or aspect of it you were assigned.

Procedure – Here is a breakdown of your PowerPoint presentation:

Slide 1 Title Slide – This slide should have the title of what your presentation is all about, based on the aspect of Saturn your Mission Command leader has assigned you.  This slide should have a design, picture, sound effect and a slide transition to the next slide.

Slide 2 Information Slide - On this slide, you will present information about your subject using at least two pictures and ten words for each picture to describe a facet of the planet that you have been assigned to report on.  You will need to have a transition to the next slide.

Slide 3 Animation Slide – you will be creating an animation page of pictures about your subject, wherein the pictures that you have selected will move using PowerPoint’s animation functions.

Slide 4 Conclusion Slide – On this slide you will conclude your presentation by writing about three things concerning Saturn that you didn't know about.

Notice!  Each slide should have a design theme that will make your presentation look organized and balanced.

Example of the PowerPoint you will create : SATURN
